While we humans are all basically alike, our metabolism and pain thresholds are unique and vary at different stages of life, so please carefully follow the guidelines for applying to surgical incision sites as described below.

Over the winter, I had carpel tunnel surgery on my left (not dominant) hand. It was a success in correcting the burning and tingling in my fingers. However, it took a long time for the surgical scar to mend. I’m happy to say that Sweet Releaf extra strength played an important role in my healing. Let me explain.

Since this was an extensive surgery involving internal and external stitches, about a dozen in all, it took about 3+ months to heal. I began applying Sweet Releaf to the scar several weeks after it closed up completely. Just a bit to ease the soreness, which felt really good as it warmed the area, stimulating blood circulation to the tissues. I did this whenever I thought of it, an average of several times a week while watching tv at night.

I then realized my hand and wrist were stiffening up from lack of regular use, so I saw a physical therapist. She recommended gentle massage and stretching of the area and asked if I had a good massage cream at home? To which I smiled and replied yes, I did!

So I began a regular regimen of lightly applying the topical over the entire affected area and then applying gentle circular massage up and down the scar. Within minutes, my wrist would relax, the skin became more pliant, no longer feeling tight or hard. It also helped dissolve a stiff spot which had developed to side of the scar. I did this gentle massage routine for about a month and boy did that ever make a difference! I’d actually say it made a significant difference in how the scar healed while providing a warm relaxing feeling to my hand.

Should you wish to try this on your surgical scar, please remember to never apply anything to a scar until it is completely closed up for at least a few weeks. I wish you all a Happy Spring and good healing!

Kindest regards, Didi
